Vivian Garrastegui

Vivian Garrastegui has been serving the needs of her clients for nearly 40 years. She began working with Ira Schneider soon after graduating from Brooklyn Law School, whom she worked with until his passing in 2008. 

Ms. Garrastegui has extensive experience in all areas of Elder Law and specializes in Medicaid planning, estate planning, Guardianship proceedings, and the preparation of wills and trusts. She is also experienced in working with disabled and special needs individuals, ensuring their assets are protected and that they receive the care they deserve. 

Additionally, Ms. Garrastegui has lectured for local communities on Medicaid and special needs planning at libraries, community centers, and veteran’s organizations. She has also provided seminars on the same subjects for attorneys with the National Business Institute (NBI). 

Outside of her practice, Ms. Garrastegui is an avid marathon runner and ran the New York City marathon, Chicago marathon, and runDisney’s Dopey Challenge (48.6 miles). She is also a theme park lover and frequents Walt Disney World and Universal Studios with her son. When she’s not running or on rides, she’s hanging out with her dog, Scooby.
